How to export: concept of market, routines and logistics

How to export? Many articles and guidelines dealing with export and “how to export” speak of this as complex, bureaucratic and only for a few companies. They talk about many needs, planning, market research, product suitability, packaging, certifications and other needs.

But all these requirements are normal in the market and therefore are not unique to the company that wants to export.

We seek to simplify this export process by summarizing all these problems into three:

  • Market: Entrepreneurs need to analyze the market they want to reach, city, country or region, tailor their products to market needs, calculate and compare prices, and ultimately identify potential customers.
  • Routines: The entrepreneur needs to know the export routines and procedures, such as documents, pricing, payment methods, buying and selling (INCOTERMS) and the step by step of an export.
  • Logistics: The entrepreneur needs to find the right partners for their export to be successful, quality and safe, and this includes foreign exchange services, international transport, insurance, customs brokers, consultants and other specific and necessary services.

Knowing these three factors the business owner will be able to communicate better with his customers, service providers and employees. What once seemed like a difficult thing is becoming clearer and generating export culture.

And why are the three skills (market, routines and logistics) important and complementary to each other?

It is not enough just to know the market, if we do not know the “how to” of the routines and the “how to deliver” of the logistics.

Nor is it enough to know the routines only if we do not know the “to whom” of the market and the “how to deliver” of the logistics.

Nor is it enough just to know the “how to deliver” of logistics, if you don’t know the “how to” of routines and the “to whom” of the market.

Several systems in the world try to solve these three pains separately. Intradebook has developed a platform that solves these three solutions in one place, in an orderly and interactive way.
